Frequently Asked Quesions
Have questions? We’ve got you covered. Below are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about sessions, booking, policies, and memberships so you can feel informed and confident before your appointment.
When you book your session, you will receive an intake form by email. This helps us review your health history, learn about any pain points or concerns, and better understand what you want from the session before you arrive.
We recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing, especially something you do not mind getting a little oil or lotion on. Many clients also prefer to bring a change of clothes for after the session, particularly if they are heading back to work or out for the day.
When you arrive, your massage therapist will bring you to the treatment room and go over a brief consultation with you. This is your time to talk about your goals, problem areas, pressure preferences, and anything you want focused on or avoided. Once that is done, your therapist will step out of the room and ask you to undress to your comfort level before getting on the table under the sheet.
A good general rule is this: if an area stays covered by clothing, we treat that as a boundary and do not work there. For example, if you leave your socks on, we will not work on your feet. If you leave a bra on, we will avoid the areas it covers, which can limit access to parts of the upper and mid back. The main exception is underwear. If you choose to leave underwear on, we may still be able to perform compression work to the hips and gluteal muscles over the sheet, but only when appropriate and only with your prior consent.
Throughout the session, you will always be properly draped, and only the area being worked on will be uncovered. Your comfort, privacy, and sense of safety are always a priority.
When the session is complete, your therapist will step out again so you can get dressed in private. Once you are ready, we will meet you up front, offer you water, and go over any recommendations based on your goals, tension patterns, and areas of concern.
If you are ever unsure about anything before or during the session, just ask. We would much rather explain the process and help you feel comfortable than have you guessing.
Our stretching sessions are a mostly passive experience designed to help lengthen and open the legs, hips, lower back, neck, and chest. They are especially helpful for office workers and anyone who spends long hours sitting at a desk, driving, or staying in the same position for much of the day. Many clients feel the greatest benefit doing a stretch after a massage. This allows the therapist to warm the muscles beforehand and better target areas of restriction.
Stretching sessions are performed with the client fully dressed, so we recommend wearing loose, flexible clothing that allows for comfortable movement. Restrictive clothing, such as some jeans or tight pants, and potentially revealing clothing, such as skirts or dresses, may make stretching difficult or inappropriate. If that happens, the session may need to be adjusted or changed to massage instead.
A simple way to think of it is like a yoga class where we do most of the work for you. Your job is to relax, breathe, and let your body move through the stretches as we guide the session safely and comfortably.
95% of our customers book 90 minutes. This gives the therapist plenty of time to work problem areas while also allotting plenty of time to do a full body session. Many of our customers break this 90 into a 60 minute massage with a 30 minute stretch directly afterwards, potentially giving better relief from tension and discomfort than you can get in a normal 90 minute session.
Absolutely. If you want focused work on your neck, shoulders, low back, hips, legs, or another area, your session can absolutely be built around that. Our therapists are also trained to make informed recommendations based on how the body is connected, helping us address not just where you feel discomfort, but what may be contributing to it.
For example, tight gluteal muscles and hamstrings can contribute to low back pain, while restricted pectoral muscles can create tension into the neck and even down the arms.
It can be either, or a blend of both. Some clients come in for stress relief and nervous system support, while others want more focused work for tension, mobility, and chronic discomfort. Your session is tailored to your goals.

If the door is still locked when you arrive, please wait in your vehicle and text our office. We will let you know as soon as you are able to come in.
Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. If you are running late, we will do our best to accommodate you, but late arrivals may result in a shortened session so the rest of the schedule can remain on time.
Please note that shortened sessions are not discounted and will still be charged at the full scheduled rate.

Yes. Members may request a membership freeze for up to 3 months per calendar year. Once the Membership Freeze Form is submitted, billing will pause, though any unused credits on your account may still be used if they remain valid.
Credits do not stop expiring during a freeze and are still subject to the normal 3-month rollover limit. After the 3-month freeze ends, billing will automatically resume unless the membership has been canceled separately.
Once your initial 60-day commitment has been completed, you may cancel your membership at any time by submitting written notice through our online cancellation form.
Please note that memberships are non-refundable, and any unused prepaid credits must be used within 60 days of your last auto-payment. After that, remaining credits will expire.
